Intel Poland expansion announced, marking the highest investment in Polish history

インテルポーランド進出を発表、ポーランド史上最高の投資額を記録する

６月１９日、米半導体大手インテルはポーランドのヴロツワフに半導体工場を建設することを発表した。

投資額は４６億ドルに達する。ポーランド工場で２０００人の雇用創出および工場の建設作業やサプライヤーの雇用により、追加で数千人の雇用が可能となる。工場の設計・プラニングを開始し、欧州委員会の承認を得て着工する。２０２７年までに稼働予定である。現段階でインテルは４０００人を雇用している。

また、前日にあたる１８日に同社はイスラエルに工場建設（２５０億ドル）、１９日にドイツに３００億ユーロを投じて工場を建設すると発表している。ドイツ政府は約１００億ユーロの補助金を拠出する。インテルはアイルランドに自身のウェハ―工場を所有しているため、欧州で包括的なサプライチェーンを築くことができる。

On 19th June 2023, Intel has announced that it will invest $4.6 billion (18.7 billion zloty) to create a new semiconductor chip assembly and testing facility in Poland.

This project creates over 2000 jobs. Currently Intel has started designing and planning plants, and upon approval by European Commission, the construction will start outside of Wroclaw city. According to the plan, the facility will be operated by 2027 year.
